Approximately 17 hectares of mature woodland and parkland originally part of the grounds of Belvedere House (demolished during mid-20th century). It is named after local industrialist Frank Beadle whose wife provided the money in his memory for Erith Council to buy the land in 1920. Further land was bought in 1936 and 1939

Birds:  
Resident: Nuthatch, treecreeper, sparrowhawk, tawny owl, great, blue and long-tailed tits, all three woodpecker species, goldcrest, greenfinch, chaffinch, song thrush, blackbird, robin, ring-necked parakeet etc.
Mammals: Fox, common pipistrelle, soprano pipistrelle and noctule bats
Invertebrates:  
Flowers: Bluebell, wood anemone, lesser celandine, dog’s mercury, goldilocks, enchanter’s nightshade, honeysuckle, foxglove. Trees include oak, beech, sweet chestnut, horse chestnut and field maple
Comment: A busy oasis in an urban sprawl providing access to schools and major roads on a system of well constructed paths. The area near Fox House Road at the rear of Erith Fire Station is one of the best for birds.
