Approximately
17 hectares of mature woodland and parkland originally part of the
grounds of Belvedere House (demolished during mid-20th century).
It is named after local industrialist Frank Beadle whose wife provided
the money in his memory for Erith Council to buy the land in 1920.
Further land was bought in 1936 and 1939

busy oasis in an urban sprawl providing access to schools and major
roads on a system of well constructed paths. The area near Fox House
Road at the rear of Erith Fire Station is one of the best for birds. |
